PSIControl is a standardised, modular SCADA system for monitoring and controlling gas and oil pipelines, power plants, water supply facilities, heat supply grids, and combined control centres for municipal suppliers. It was developed based on the experience gained from the many major projects implemented in the area of process control technology over most of the last thirty years.
The modular structure of the PSIControl SCADA system facilitates adaptability to concrete tasks and special demands. Modularity also assures easy expansion for higher functions, such as prognosis, simulation, and optimisation. These functions are easily integrated within the system on demand.
The PSIControl SCADA system is distinctive in its high level of availability due to the fact that its initial development was that of a parallel computer system. PSIControl supports redundancy for all system components. The hardware configuration is specified according to the tasks defined within the project.
