PSI AG's innovative technologies and PSI Energo's experts experience ensure new levels of reliability and effectiveness in the russian power sector

Moscow, March 23, 2009 – PSI AG and the investment company ru-Net presented PSI Energo a Russian-German joint venture. The company was established as the exclusive representative of the PSI Group in the Russian electric power sector, and has begun implementing its projects on the energy market of the Russian Federation since the summer of 2008. The profit of the company in this period amounted to over 500 million rubles.

PSI Energo is introducing advanced systems for complex network control aimed at improving the reliability of power supply as well as the effectiveness in network maintenance. The systems introduced are based on innovative technologies and 40 years of experience of PSI AG. They are the well-proven tools of the leading power supply companies of Europe and the whole world such as E.ON, RWE, EnBW, EDF, CEZ and others. By implementing these technologies in the power line sector of the Integrated National System of the Russian Federation alone, costs are reduced by an average of over 1.3 billion rubles a year. If implemented in the infrastructure of electrical power network control and management in the complete power supply industry of Russia, this figure exceeds 20 billion rubles a year.

This large-scale scheme can now be realized by consolidating a Russian expert’s team’s professional experience and advanced products of PSI AG within the framework of PSI Energo. During the first six months of operation in 2008, PSI Energo successfully implemented 6 projects, staff numbers grew to 65 employees, and the proceeds constituted 569 million rubles.
