PSI Awarded Contract from E.ON Regional Supplier in Strategically Important Gas Market

Portfolio Management Gas charged as integrated and cross-corporate energy sector solution

Berlin, 8 February 2007 - PSI Büsing & Buchwald GmbH has been charged by a large regional energy supplier of the E.ON Group with the supply of a portfolio management system for the gas market. The solution ordered will be delivered as an integral component of the existing portfolio management system for the electricity segment, which was also delivered by PSI Büsing & Buchwald GmbH and has been successfully employed by the customer for years.

The system solution will support all the important trading processes in the liberalized market such as planning, prognosis, optimization, contract, portfolio and risk management as well as the handling of the trading transactions. Of special interest is the smooth and complete system-technical integration of the solution in the existing system for the electricity market, resulting in a cross-corporate portfolio management system.

With this order, the PSI Büsing & Buchwald GmbH is well-positioned for the increasing liberalization of the gas market. With this contract the company, which was established in October 2005 with the merger of the gas-specialized Büsing und Buchwald GmbH with PSI AG’s electricity trading and sales system, has attained another important milestone in achieving its strategic goals.

PSI Büsing & Buchwald GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PSI AG. As part of the core business Energy Management, the company is specialized in strategic and specialized consulting as well as integrated energy sector solutions for energy trading and sales.
