Batch Tracking

Batch tracking is primarily used to estimate the locations of different products in transit from injection to delivery from the pipeline. Knowing which product is located where reduces the likelihood of mixing and downgrading of product or contamination of product in tanks.

PSI's batch tracking function is an important prerequisite both for dynamic balance and for locating leaks. Faultless operation of the dynamic online model and thus balance in non-steady-state operation require the most precise knowledge possible of the content of the pipeline, regarding local allocation as well as physical characteristics.
