The prime objective of every pipeline operator is to provide for the safe and efficient transportation products through its lines with as little loss as possible. PSI’s patented and certified leak detection and localisation module has been designed to ensure that this objective is met by registering all abnormal balances in a pipeline. When an anomaly occurs, an operator is alerted and the application will quickly and accurately pinpoint the scale and location of the problem.
PSI is able to deliver various methods of leak detection designed to address the requirements of specific types of pipeline operation. These methods can stand alone or be used in combination as appropriate. Similarly, although the PSI leak detection and location system is a fully integrated module within the pipeline management system, based upon PSIcontrol SCADA, it can also be implemented with a wide range of third party SCADA products using standard interface technologies such as OPC.
